  • How much will I pay for a regular lawn sprinkler system?

There are no typical lawn sprinkler systems, so we cannot provide a cost. Most lawn sprinkler systems (between 6 and 10 zones) are $5,500 - $9,500.

Since we custom-design your system, we will view your property from an available aerial image (Google Maps, GIS, Etc.).  If we are unable to view your home from such images, we will need to make a site visit in order to come up with an accurate estimate.

  • I want some landscape lighting, but have no idea how much it costs. Can you give me an idea?

Much like a sprinkler system, this answer can vary greatly, and even more greatly than sprinkler systems.

Our minimum is $3,500, and this gets you around 8-10 standard up-lights and/or path lights.  The average system we install is between $6,500 - $12,000.

  • What is the process to get a sprinkler system installed?

We will visit your site, measure your property, and note anything unique such as landscaping that can't be seen from an aerial photograph, steep slopes, or plants that require their zone.

We will draw the proposed system and give you an estimate based on that drawing.

Once you accept the estimate and provide a down payment, we will place you on our waiting list and give you at least 1-2 weeks of notice when we plan to start your job.

  • How long will the installation be?

The installation will normally take about 3-5 days.

  • Will my lawn be damaged?

We install the pipe using a vibratory plow. It ticks a blade into the ground and uses it to pull the pipe for our main line and zone lines.

This creates a "scar" in the grass, but we drive it down with our machine and when we start watering, it normally is gone in a few weeks.

You won't realize we were there after a month (other than your grass being greener because of the watering).

  • Are you insured and licensed?

As a landscaper in Wisconsin, we are not required to have a license unless we perform pesticide/herbicide applications.

We hold an out-of-state contractor registration required by the state of Iowa for contractors of various trades.

We also hold liability insurance with limits of $1 million and $500,000 commercial auto insurance.

  • How do I prepare for installation?

First, call your plumber to stub out a water supply line and the backflow preventer.

Because the cost of plumbers varies,  we don't include this in our estimate.

We will work with your plumber while installing the system, and to ensure the supply line will meet our requirements.

In previous years, this has averaged $500 - $700, however, prices are always subject to change.

  • I have a nursery or greenhouse and we spend a lot of time watering plants. Is there a solution to reducing our labor cost for watering?

We have a solution for you! Whether you're a hobbyist who grows plants or a full-scale commercial grower, we know how to reduce labor costs.

Contact us today to schedule a visit, and we can talk with you about possible solutions.

  • What systems and properties do you service?

We service all types of systems from a small 3-zone house to schools, lake/river systems, commercial properties, sports complexes, HOAs, and industrial buildings.

We can work with multi-strand and 2-wire systems with hundreds of zones.

We can service any brand of system, but we only replace it with Hunter or Rain Bird products.

  • What type of warranty do you have on your installations?

We have a labor warranty of 2 years and 5 years on our sprinkler and landscape lighting systems, respectively.  Labor warranties cover things like installation defects or design errors.

Our parts typically hold a warranty from 2 - 10 years.
